On 1 April 2010 we launched an important new Artist Development programme, designed to support emerging artists or companies to develop the skills needed to turn their fledgling vision into reality. Giving the participants access to our well-equipped theatre and the experience of our staff in areas as diverse as production, marketing and fundraising, the programme is designed to support them as they make the often daunting transition from new script to magical play, dream concept to winning funding pitch or cutting edge score to fully-fledged musical. As Told By was founded by University of Bristol graduate, Frankie Wakefield and undergraduate, Katie Pesskin. Their aim is to celebrate bold stories and unique story-tellers and to creatively explore their scripts in the rehearsal room.
