Eight Expectations
SLP are back at Greenwich Theatre after last year’s sold out shows with EIGHT new and completely original short comedies and dramas all in one night (and, not forgetting, Saturday matinee).
Written, directed and performed by SLP, the subject matter of each short play is deliberately diverse with our ensemble of performers taking on a number of roles on and off stage. We brazenly lure and encourage new writers but we are very selective (to pick 8 plays we often reject as many). We write to amuse and entertain and occasionally challenge but without ramming any agendas down your throats.
No trigger warnings necessary, but you can expect eight very different stories. From the dystopian game show WOULD YOU RATHER, to the spoof low budget advert for your NEXT LIFE, to a disturbing encounter with a St Quentin prisoner in THE CHAIR and the hilariously retro antics of the incompetent crew of the SS Kylie Minogue in STARSHIP.
