South London Players at Greenwich Theatre
NINE new and completely original short comedies and dramas written, directed and performed by South London Players, all in one night (or matinee).
The subject matter of each individual short play is deliberately diverse with their ensemble of performers taking on a number of roles on and off stage. South London Players brazenly lure and encourage new writers but are very selective (to pick 9 plays they often reject as many). They’re all about writing for the audience and not for personal indulgence, it’s challenging at times but they refrain from ramming politics down your throats. It’s sometimes a little bit sweary in places but that’s life.
An amazing value night out , ask previous audiences who all leave smiling and laughing… and not just because it’s over!
SLP are a South London based theatre company, well known for original comedy and drama with recent sell out shows at other Greenwich venues. Their membership age demographic ranges from under 20 to over 60, as does their loyal audience. New members – actors, writers, directors, back stage always welcome!
