Greenwich Theatre is one of London’s foremost Off-West End theatres, working on a local, national and international stage. From presenting an enviable year-round programme of established and emerging theatre here in the Royal borough of Greenwich, to supporting artists in taking their work around the world, the development of new work is always at the heart of what we do. Combined with our nationally regarded programme of theatre for children and young people and our award-winning pantomime, Greenwich Theatre continues to contribute to this country’s dynamic, diverse, vibrant theatre ecology, treating the audiences of today to a glimpse of some of the biggest theatre-makers of tomorrow.
Thank you to all those who have generously supported Greenwich Theatre thus far by donating, buying a Friends’ membership and supporting our Buy a Brick campaign. You are playing a crucial part in ensuring the reopening of the theatre very soon.
At Greenwich Theatre, we have taken the view that we have a lot more to offer – that our purpose is certainly to entertain audiences, to mentor artists, to support actors and to celebrate writers, but that we don’t necessarily need a building to do that. Therefore, we launched Greenwich Connects, an entirely online-based programme which is designed to offer audiences, writers, actors and theatre industry professionals a series of opportunities to engage with us, to continue to do what they enjoy doing, and to interact with one another despite being housebound.
