No Good Drunk is a Southern Gothic tale about love gone wrong. A one-hour multi-media performance blending theatre, film, and songs by LA-based performer Stacie Burrows set to the backdrop of West Texas dive bars and graveyards. The show is comprised of 8 original songs and true stories that connect the through-line about how alcoholism upended the family.
My grandfather drank himself to death in the 50's in El Paso, Texas and wound up buried in another woman's grave. As I move through the generations of the family, we learn that history doesn't always repeat itself, but it often rhymes. This is a tribute to the women who persevered despite being tethered to an addict.
The Scotsman calls it "one of the most thought-provoking shows you shouldn't miss."
