Best known for his light-hearted columns and television appearances, Clive James was also a remarkable lyricist. Working with composer Pete Atkin, he created songs that are tender, wry and always deeply human — mini-masterpieces that feel like a friend opening up, sharing joys, regrets and earthy observations of everyday life. Kiwi vocalist Tim Benton brings these songs to life with a warm, lived-in baritone, accompanied by jazz-tinged piano arrangements from leading UK musical director Simon Wallace.
