“The difference between a lady and a flower girl is not how she behaves, but how she’s treated.”
After a chance-meeting on a rainy night in Covent Garden, Professor Higgins, a scientist of phonetics, ends up striking a bet with Colonel Pickering, a linguist of Indian dialects, after claiming that he could transform a poor cockney speaking flower-seller, Eliza Doolittle, into a well-spoken duchess.
The cast will include: Laura Anna-Mead (Call the Midwife), Karen Ascoe (The Crow Girl), Philip Bird (Call the Midwife), Philip Bretherton (As Time Goes By), Paddy Duff (Romeo and Juliet), Sabina Franklyn (Midsomer Murders), Karl Howman (EastEnders), Judy Matheson (The Professionals), Jane Merrow (The Haunting of Margam Castle), Abbey Norman (Pygmalion), Jane Murrow (The Haunting of Margam Castle) and Jenanne Redman (Godspell).
