HIRING FOR EVENTS

Whether it is a large multi-national conference or staff training Greenwich Theatre has a space for you.

The venue is ideally suited to serve South East London business communities. With superb facilities, Greenwich Theatre makes the perfect venue for most events.

Please note, we tend to programme around 8-12 months in advance and so will have stronger availability past that. We also are small team and so will attempt to reply to your enquiry as soon as is possible.

HIRE FEE INCLUDES

  • Duty Manager for duration of hire period
  • Duty Technician for duration of hire period (Main House) or Technician for 2-hour introduction to the space (Studio)
  • Use of chairs and limited number of small tables
  • Dressing Rooms for the duration of hire period (3 for Main house, 1 for Studio)
  • Bar Facilities inc. Staff

All hire and services rates are subject to VAT and an increase on Bank Holidays and weekends.
Registered charities, voluntary and educational organisations may be eligible for reduced rates

Unfortunately, we do not have any parking available on site. The closest parking is in the Pay & Display car park on Burney Street (the road joining Stockwell Street and Royal Hill). Spaces are limited, especially at weekends. Parking is free after 6.30pm. There is extremely limited on-street parking available on Crooms Hill, after 5.00pm between Monday – Saturday and 6.00pm on Sunday.

Unless otherwise agreed, all deliveries must take place within the agreed hire period.
Unfortunately, we have limited storage facilities available. We will do our very best to accommodate your requests but as an active performance and rehearsal venue we have to work around a busy programme of additional public events.

Hire fee includes the Duty Technician, and one additional Technician for Technical Rehearsals (Main House) or Technician for 2-hour introduction to the space (Studio)

Please note all fees are subject to VAT.

The Duty Technician will operate pre-set lighting only, assist with the connecting of your technical/electrical equipment, and problem solve in the event of power or equipment failure. They are not a specialised Lighting or Sound Engineer and will not design/re-design or run any shows. Any additional requests for staffing and set-up must be confirmed in writing no later than 4 weeks before the event and incur additional charges as outlined below.

We do not provide catering services, and we do not have any on-site kitchen or kitchenette.

Happy to discuss alternative options however please note your caterers must have relevant hygiene and insurance certification and be fully conversant with health and safety legislation.

We can supply all your Champagne, wine, spirits, beer, hot drinks, soft drinks and water. A wine list is available and our Bar & Events Manager, will be happy to provide a quotation based on your requirements.

If there are specific brands that we do not normally stock which you are particularly keen to have available for your private function, please discuss these with our Bar & Events Manager.

All drinks must be purchased through us with the use of the bar area included in the hire subject to a minimum bar spend relative to the size of your event.

The Theatre does have some furniture, props and costume pieces available to use during your hire. Use of any of our stock will be subject to an additional hire fee, depending on what is used and for how long. Use of our stock must be agreed no later than 4 weeks before the hire is due to begin.

As with use of our Bar facilities chairs and small tables are included in the hire fee. We do not supply table linen, crockery or cutlery.

On request we can allow use of our ticketing software, and box office facilities and website. Hires are not listed among our What’s On pages but are hosted on our website via a private link. Our Box Office is capabale of in-person, telesales and 24-hour online sales, as well as staffed by trained customer service representatives to handle customer queries and upsell. We charge a 12% commission on ticket sales through our box office.
